Another Nonparielboutique Haul!

Hey guys, today I'm going to be sharing a haul from Nonparielboutique, one of my favourite online makeup shops!

I got all NYX products bar one because they were 25% off at the time!

Left to Right Back to Front:
NYX Glitter Powder in Silver, NYX Glitter Crystal Liner in Crystal Pink, NYX Glitter Crystal Liner in Crystal Champagne, NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Toyko, NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Sparkle Nude, Lavender, Blackbean, NYX Lipliner in Coral, NYX Long Lip Pencil in Plush Red.

Left to Right, Back to Front:
Wet 'n' Wild Vanity Palette, NYX 5 Colour Eyeshadow Palette in I Dream of St. Maarteen, NYX Blush in Expresso, Spice, NYX Mosaic Blush in Rosey.

So that's all I got this time but I will most probably be making another order on this website sometime soon because not only does it sell brands we can't get in Australia (ELF, NYX, Wet 'n' Wild etc) it also sells them and very similar prices to the US and shipping is fairly cheap and fast!

Have a great day!

Left to Right: Do you Lilac it?, Don't Pretzel my Buttons, The "It" Colour, Golden Eye.

Left to Right: Warm and Fozzie, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, Nein! Nein! Nein! OK Fine!, Here Today Aragon Tomorrow.

I got all these nailpolishes from MBeautyLounge (http://www.mbeautylounge.com/). This website is cheap as chips but the shipping literally takes forever (about 6-7 weeks). I have bought from them twice, both times they didn't send me one of my polishes and I had to chase them up about getting a refund. I still feel like this website is worth it because of how cheap it is though!

Small Makeup Haul!

Hey guys! This is a small haul of the things I bought the other day during my lunch break (having a Priceline 10 metres from where I work destroys my pay check before I even receive it).

Left to right, back to front: Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick's in Pink Blush and Heart Breaker (on sale for $7.96 each, usually $10.00 each) , Essence Lipstick in All About Cupcake ($3.95), Essence Twighlight glitter eyeliners in Alice had a Vision - Again and Jacob's Protection ($4.50), Rimmel Lasting Finish 1000 Hour's Lip Tint in Stay Very Berry and Australis Paparazzi Perfect Blush in Shoot to Thrill ($12.95).

Left to Right:  Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick's in Pink Blush and Heart Breaker, Essence Lipstick in All About Cupcake, Rimmel Lasting Finish 1000 Hour's Lip Tint in Stay Very Berry

Left to right: Essence Twighlight glitter eyeliners in Alice had a Vision - Again (1 swatch, 3 swatches) and Jacob's Protection (1 swatch, 3 swatches)

Australis Paparazzi Perfect Blush in Shoot to Thrill

The 2 Rimmel lipstick's are freaking gorgeous. So pigmented and amazing for the price, I will definitely buy more. The Rimmel lip stain is so far incredible and I will probably do a separate review raving about how great it is. The Essence lipstick is also amazing. I already have one in the makeup purse I keep in my bag but it's running low so I decided to restock. I adore it. The 2 Essence glitter liners are pretty disappointing. They remind me of glitter glue you used to use in primary school. My NYX ones are 10 times better and are the exact same price. Overall the glitter in the Essence liners is just too sheer. And finally, the Paparazzi Perfect blush by Australis is amazing. It looks so freaking awesome in the pan, it makes me happy just looking at it! The overall swatch is pretty nice too, but the pan is just so stunning.

Thanks for reading!

P.S I just made another order on NonparielBoutique! NYX is having 25% on there at the moment and I couldn't resist. The coupon code in NSS25. On the website it says the code is NSS20. I tried that and it didn't work, before wondering why the code would have 20 and not 25 in it. I tried NSS25 and the code worked. Go spend!

Pastel NOTD!

Hey guys :) Just a quick post today because I'm going to work soon. This is a nail of the day which features a pastel base with a slanted silver french tip! I got inspiration from a video I saw ages ago where a black base and white tip was used!

The minty base is using one of my newest nail polishes that I wrote about here. It's called After Dinner Mint and it's so gorgeous! I painted 2 coats of this colour on in the morning and that night I stuck a piece of tape firmly on my nail in a slanted position and then painted one coat of Rimmel's silver nail polish called Your Majesty. I highly recommend waiting at least 1 or 2 hours after you've painted your base colour before you go ahead and stick your tape on. I have tried this before after only waiting 20-30 minutes and it was a disaster!

Hope this NOTD has inspired some of you guys to add a twist to your usual 1 colour manicure!

Review: NYX Long Lip Pencil in Pinky

Hi guys! Today I have a quick review of NYX's Long Lip Pencil in the beautiful colour, Pinky.

First off, this pencil is so long, they're about 1 and a half times longer than your average lip pencil (comparing to a Savvy by DB one). It's going to last freaking ages!

Pinky is a super hot pink colour (It's probably at about 70% opacity/brightness in this picture). You can build it up to be much much brighter, or you can wear it sheerly so it's not so in your face. It applies smoothly onto your lips but does leave them feeling a little dry as most lip liners do. I don't think I could ever wear just this on it's own, it definitely needs some kind of lipgloss/lipstick. Pinky lip liner requires sharpening as it doesn't have a twist up option. This will result in loss of product which may deter some people. However, for the price of $2 I don't think 20c of possible wasted product is an issue.

Pinky contains 2g of product and retails for $2.00 (Currently down to $1.50) off NonParielBoutique (http://www.nonpareilboutique.com/nyx-long-lipliner-pencil-lpl18-pinky.html). This liner is amazing for the price. I highly suggest it!

Review: Australis Face-O-Holic Kit!

Morning everyone :) I wanted to get this post up ASAP. It's a review of the Australis Face-O-Holic Kit in Touch and Glow. It's limited edition and is currently in Target's bargain bins for 5 bucks as they are trying to get rid of it! Here's what it looks like:

This is what the packaging looks like on the outside.

And this is what the kit looks like! First off, it's freaking huge. I should have done a comparison photo but this compact is almost as big as my face! It contains a whopping 45g of product! The Face-O-Holic kit comes with a Paparazzi Perfect Blush in the colour Flash It, a pressed powder in the colour deep natural and an illuminator on the end. One thing I love about this product is the ratio is fantastic. The compact is divided so that you get a tonne of pressed powder, and then a smaller portion of the blush and illuminator. Obviously you would go through a lot more of the pressed powder than the other 2 because powder goes over you're whole face, blush and highlighter go just on the cheeks!

The left side blush is really gorgeous. I love how it's marbled because you can dip in the middle of the pan, or on the top and get a completely different blush colour every time. It's really pigmented and stays on a good amount of time, I haven't noticed fading. It is shimmery though, which some people may not like!

The pressed powder is quite nice. I do prefer my Rimmel Stay Matte as I feel it keeps me matte for longer (I get an oily nose and chin). In saying this I do think it's good. Would I buy it separately once I use up the one in the kit - no, but I still will happily use up everything in the pan!

The highlighter is probably the stand out of this palette. It's so stunning. It's a shimmery white colour with freaking awesome pigmentation. This is something I would buy separately but I don't think it's available on it's own unfortunately!

Blush, Pressed Powder, Highlighter

This palette is incredible! When it came out a few months ago it retailed at $20 and if I had of seen it then I would have 100% paid the 20 bucks to get it. However I'm glad I didn't see it then because I got it for $5 a couple of days ago! Hopefully there are still some left in Target's bargain bins in the beauty section because they are a steal! Goodluck finding one!

New Face of Australia Pretty Pastels NOTD!

Hey guys! Today's post is a 3 in one. It's 2 NOTD's from Face of Australia's new Pretty Pastel's collection, as well as a review on the 2 I picked up.

After Dinner Mint

This is the first colour I decided to buy, After Dinner Mint. My friend wore it to work the other day so on my break I dashed across the road to pick it up from Priceline. Unfortunately, it's a gloomy day today so this image is not showing exactly true to colour. After Dinner Mint is a true pastel mint with a creme finish so the swatch photo looks a lot more blue than it should be. Anyway, this colour is very pretty and will look gorgeous on any skin tone. The picture above is 2 coats and it applied perfectly opaquely.

Once in a Blue Moon

The original plan was to just purchase After Dinner Mint and dash back to work but when I saw Once in a Blue Moon I couldn't pass it up. It reminds me a lot of OPI's 'What's with the Cattitude?' from the Shrek Collection. That colour is now discontinued and is very rare and hard to find. When I saw Once in a Blue moon I knew I needed to grab it! It's such a stunning light pastel blue with a creme finish. It's a perfect spring colour. The swatch above is 2 layers of Once in a Blue Moon with one layer of OPI's Alpine Snow underneath. I did this because I figured a cheap nail polish like this would need 4 or 5 coats to be opaque, which isn't the case. 2 coats of this polish on it's own is enough for full opacity.

After Dinner Mint, Once in a Blue Moon

These Face of Australia Pretty Pastel Nail Polishes sell for $4.95 for 13ml from places such as Priceline and Big W. There are 8 in the line and I suggest you go take a look even if you only want to get 1! My only complaint about these nail polishes is the formula is quite goopy. It reminds me of an OPI that only has half the bottle left and was opened a year ago. Goopiness is obviously something I wouldn't expect from a brand new nail polish, however for the price tag I still think they are very worth it. These stay about 4 days without chipping with a base and top coat!

Have a good day!

Review/Collection: Makeup Geek Eyeshadows Part 2!

Hey guys! This is the second and final part to my review/collection of my Makeup Geek Eyeshadows. This post features 8 of my darker shades from the website.

Left to right top to bottom: Corrupt, Sensuous, Mocha, Cocoa Bear, Brown Sugar, Country Girl, Glamorous, Gold Digger

Corrupt: Pretty much a matte black. There is very very slight glitter in the pan but this does not transfer at all onto the lid. It's also amazingly pigmented so you really don't need much at all. It's nothing special but a really great colour to have in your collection.

Sensuous: Gorgeous deep purple with gold and silver shimmer/glitter. I haven't worn this one yet even though I've had it for months because it isn't a colour I would gravitate towards. I love purples but typically light lilac colours for the day. I never really do smokey purple looks however this one would be perfect for something like that.

Mocha: This colour is great! It's a matte dark brown that I use all the time on my outer v to make my eye socket sink back more. Completely matte dark browns are hard to find so even though this colour doesn't look unique I think it's a great one to pick up because it comes in handy a LOT.

Cocoa Bear: A really nice red toned brown. These colours are also hard to come by. Most mid-dark browns are cool toned so it's nice to have a red toned brown in your collection to warm up your neutral looks.

Brown Sugar: A sparkly reddish brown. I haven't worn this colour out because I did a look with it which I was planning to wear to work but it made me look like I had a black eye so I had to wipe it straight off! I wouldn't suggest wearing this colour all over your lid, maybe just in your crease or on the lower lash line because on me at least it looks very strange.

Country Girl: Medium red with a hint of brown. It's packed with shimmer. This colour is gorgeous but again, like brown sugar it isn't extremely wearable. It does look quite nice on the eye but you need to be wearing a heavy amount of makeup for it to look good.

Glamorous: This colour is incredibly gorgeous. It's like a gold but a lot more orange. I adore putting this on just the centre of the lid after I've done a neutral eye just as a last minute thing. It makes my eyes look rounder and greener and attracts a lot of light.

Gold Digger: A 100% true gold. I adore wearing this colour. It's so glamorous and classy. It's such a vibrant pigmented gold, I love it a lot!

Corrupt, Sensuous, Mocha, Cocoa Bear, Brown Sugar, Country Girl, Glamorous, Gold Digger

These 8 eyeshadows are my least worn but I do still love wearing all of them (besides brown sugar) on occasion. I have 2 different favourites from this lot for different reasons. Mocha is one of them because I use it so often and it comes in handy a lot, however I also love gold digger because it's just an all round gorgeous colour that looks flattering on me. As I said in part 1, Makeup Geek Eyeshadows retail for $5.99 off the Makeup Geek website ( http://www.makeupgeek.com/). I really want to urge you guys to go online and purchase some of these eyeshadows! 6 dollars sounds like a lot for one eyeshadow but they are such good quality and are seriously worth it. Hope you guys enjoyed!

Review/Collection: Makeup Geek Eyeshadows Part 1!

Hey everyone :) Over the next 2 consecutive blog posts I'm going to show you and review my collection of Makeup Geek single eyeshadows. This first part features 6 of my lightest shades I own, part 2 will feature my darker shades. Here's part 1!

Left to right top to bottom: Purely Naked, Homecoming, Latte, Vanilla Bean, Bling, Shimma Shimma

Purely Naked: Slightly shimmery medium skin colour. I always put this in my crease first if I'm doing a darker look and want something like a real dark brown in the crease. It helps to blend everything out because it's similar to my skin tone yet a bit darker so it also adds some definition.

Homecoming: My favourite eyeshadow out of them all. It's a frosty taupe which leans more towards the brown side. It's so beautiful on the eye. Lately I have been wearing it on the lid over top of my Maybelinne colour tattoo in bad to the bronze. They are a similar colour and the cream eyeshadow underneath makes homecoming pop and look even more gorgeous!

Latte: Easily my favourite favourite favourite colour to put in my crease. It's a matte light brown which is the exact kind of colour I love to put in the socket of my eye. This eyeshadow is a basic and a must have.

Vanilla Bean: Another basic must have. It's an off white, kind of like an ivory colour with very little shimmer at all. Perfect to put underneath your brow bone. I use this pretty much everyday.

Bling: This is my favourite colour to put in my inner corner! It's so shimmery without being like glitter dust. One issue with this eyeshadow is it's extremely powdery. If I dunk my brush in the pan I have to tap off the excess and also blow over the eyeshadow to send away all the excess shimmery powder it puts all over the palette.

Shimma Shimma: Very similar in effect to bling, however this one is more pink toned while bling is more yellow toned. Again, used in the inner corner this lights up your eyes so well and looks so pretty.

Purely Naked, Homecoming, Latte, Vanilla Bean. Bling, Shimma Shimma

I love these eyeshadows so much. These particular 6 are my worst worn because they are all natural and subtle colours. Makeup Geek Eyeshadows retail for $5.99 off the Makeup Geek website ( http://www.makeupgeek.com/). I highly recommend them, they are such good quality for the price! Stay tuned for part 2 of my Makeup Geek eyeshadow collection coming  on Wednesday :)

FOTD - Pastel Purple!

Hey guys!! I thought I would show you my face of the day from a couple of days ago when I went shopping!

On my eyes are the top 2 colours in the BYS palette in number 6 Smokey Purples pictured below. The photos were taken at the end of the day which means the blush I wore (Wet 'n' Wild Heather Silk) and the lipstick (Revlon Soft Nude) have pretty much disappeared but the eyes are the main thing I wanted to show you guys anyway! Pastel purple is such a pretty spring colour!

Hope this inspired some of you guys! Have a lovely day.

Review: Revlon Super Lustrous Lipglosses!

Hey guys! Today I'm going to review my favourite lipglosses, Revlon's Super Lustrous glosses!

Shine City, Coral Reef, Pink Afterglow, Firecracker, Pearl Plum, Nude Lustre

I got my first one (Pink Afterglow) from the Priceline Beauty Bag back in April of this year, and at this stage my lips were still quite allergic to lip products so I decided not to use it. However over the last few months my lips have gotten so much better and I can now wear most lip products without a reaction. This prompted me to pull out this lipgloss and try it. I loved it so much that it stayed in my handbag for a couple of months straight! It was so amazing I had to buy more, however I wasn't keen on the price tag. So when I was browsing Myer on my lunch break a few weeks ago I found an amazing box gift set of 5 of these lipglosses for 39.95! That's $109 worth of lipgloss for 40 bucks! Incredible!

Shine City, Coral Reef, Pink Afterglow, Firecracker, Pearl Plum, Nude Lustre

The formula of these lipglosses is incredible. It applies so smoothly and opaquely, with the only exceptions being Shine City (obviously because it's clear) and Firecracker which is quite sheer. All the other glosses apply a really good amount of colour on the lips that you could just put them on without a lipstick and still have gorgeous lips! They don't feel dry on my lips, and they stay a couple of hours before they kind of disappear. The packaging is also a stand out. They look very fancy with the black and gold top and clear tube so you can easily see which colour you are using.

Pink Afterglow, my first and my favourite!

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipglosses retail for $21.95 for 18ml of product and can be purchased from Priceline, Target, Big W, Myer and other such places and chemists! I highly recommend them, however I also highly recommend you wait for a sale at one of these places such as a buy one get one free sale! I also highly recommend buying the Myer 5 lipgloss set whilst it's still out! Thanks for reading!

Review: Wet 'n' Wild Colour Icon Blush in Heather Silk

Hey everyone!! This post is my first review, and it's going to be on my favourite blush of the moment - Heather Silk by Wet 'n' Wild! I got this blush several days ago on Friday, and have since worn it all 4 consecutive days.

Heather Silk is a gorgeous bright pink which is completely matte. I don't have very many matte blushes which is why I am obsessed with this at the moment. I really like that it's matte because I love wearing highlighter but dislike wearing it with a shimmery blush as I feel like it's too much. This blush looks pretty natural IF you apply it lightly. I barely tap my brush in the pan and then wipe it off on the back of my hand before applying it with my Sigma duo fibre brush. It is seriously so pigmented. It also stays all day. I wore this to work from 8:30-5:30 today and it stayed fairly vibrant 9 hours later.

The only downside to this blush is the stupid packaging! Half the container is a little spot for the horrid brush they put in with it. It makes the container twice as big than it needs to be which really isn't ideal. However this is the only downfall to the blush, the pros highly outweigh the negatives.

Heather Silk contains 4g of product and retails for $3 (not joking) off Nonparielboutique ( http://www.nonpareilboutique.com/) . 100% recommend it.

New Blog!

Hey everyone :) My name's Gemma. I'm an 18 year old from Perth Australia. I am creating a blog about makeup, nail polish and fashion. I will be putting up my first blog post tomorrow. I hope you all enjoy.
