Review/Collection: Makeup Geek Eyeshadows Part 2!

Hey guys! This is the second and final part to my review/collection of my Makeup Geek Eyeshadows. This post features 8 of my darker shades from the website.

Left to right top to bottom: Corrupt, Sensuous, Mocha, Cocoa Bear, Brown Sugar, Country Girl, Glamorous, Gold Digger

Corrupt: Pretty much a matte black. There is very very slight glitter in the pan but this does not transfer at all onto the lid. It's also amazingly pigmented so you really don't need much at all. It's nothing special but a really great colour to have in your collection.

Sensuous: Gorgeous deep purple with gold and silver shimmer/glitter. I haven't worn this one yet even though I've had it for months because it isn't a colour I would gravitate towards. I love purples but typically light lilac colours for the day. I never really do smokey purple looks however this one would be perfect for something like that.

Mocha: This colour is great! It's a matte dark brown that I use all the time on my outer v to make my eye socket sink back more. Completely matte dark browns are hard to find so even though this colour doesn't look unique I think it's a great one to pick up because it comes in handy a LOT.

Cocoa Bear: A really nice red toned brown. These colours are also hard to come by. Most mid-dark browns are cool toned so it's nice to have a red toned brown in your collection to warm up your neutral looks.

Brown Sugar: A sparkly reddish brown. I haven't worn this colour out because I did a look with it which I was planning to wear to work but it made me look like I had a black eye so I had to wipe it straight off! I wouldn't suggest wearing this colour all over your lid, maybe just in your crease or on the lower lash line because on me at least it looks very strange.

Country Girl: Medium red with a hint of brown. It's packed with shimmer. This colour is gorgeous but again, like brown sugar it isn't extremely wearable. It does look quite nice on the eye but you need to be wearing a heavy amount of makeup for it to look good.

Glamorous: This colour is incredibly gorgeous. It's like a gold but a lot more orange. I adore putting this on just the centre of the lid after I've done a neutral eye just as a last minute thing. It makes my eyes look rounder and greener and attracts a lot of light.

Gold Digger: A 100% true gold. I adore wearing this colour. It's so glamorous and classy. It's such a vibrant pigmented gold, I love it a lot!

These 8 eyeshadows are my least worn but I do still love wearing all of them (besides brown sugar) on occasion. I have 2 different favourites from this lot for different reasons. Mocha is one of them because I use it so often and it comes in handy a lot, however I also love gold digger because it's just an all round gorgeous colour that looks flattering on me. As I said in part 1, Makeup Geek Eyeshadows retail for $5.99 off the Makeup Geek website ( http://www.makeupgeek.com/). I really want to urge you guys to go online and purchase some of these eyeshadows! 6 dollars sounds like a lot for one eyeshadow but they are such good quality and are seriously worth it. Hope you guys enjoyed!

Review/Collection: Makeup Geek Eyeshadows Part 1!

Hey everyone :) Over the next 2 consecutive blog posts I'm going to show you and review my collection of Makeup Geek single eyeshadows. This first part features 6 of my lightest shades I own, part 2 will feature my darker shades. Here's part 1!

Left to right top to bottom: Purely Naked, Homecoming, Latte, Vanilla Bean, Bling, Shimma Shimma

Purely Naked: Slightly shimmery medium skin colour. I always put this in my crease first if I'm doing a darker look and want something like a real dark brown in the crease. It helps to blend everything out because it's similar to my skin tone yet a bit darker so it also adds some definition.

Homecoming: My favourite eyeshadow out of them all. It's a frosty taupe which leans more towards the brown side. It's so beautiful on the eye. Lately I have been wearing it on the lid over top of my Maybelinne colour tattoo in bad to the bronze. They are a similar colour and the cream eyeshadow underneath makes homecoming pop and look even more gorgeous!

Latte: Easily my favourite favourite favourite colour to put in my crease. It's a matte light brown which is the exact kind of colour I love to put in the socket of my eye. This eyeshadow is a basic and a must have.

Vanilla Bean: Another basic must have. It's an off white, kind of like an ivory colour with very little shimmer at all. Perfect to put underneath your brow bone. I use this pretty much everyday.

Bling: This is my favourite colour to put in my inner corner! It's so shimmery without being like glitter dust. One issue with this eyeshadow is it's extremely powdery. If I dunk my brush in the pan I have to tap off the excess and also blow over the eyeshadow to send away all the excess shimmery powder it puts all over the palette.

Shimma Shimma: Very similar in effect to bling, however this one is more pink toned while bling is more yellow toned. Again, used in the inner corner this lights up your eyes so well and looks so pretty.

I love these eyeshadows so much. These particular 6 are my worst worn because they are all natural and subtle colours. Makeup Geek Eyeshadows retail for $5.99 off the Makeup Geek website ( http://www.makeupgeek.com/). I highly recommend them, they are such good quality for the price! Stay tuned for part 2 of my Makeup Geek eyeshadow collection coming  on Wednesday :)

FOTD - Pastel Purple!

Hey guys!! I thought I would show you my face of the day from a couple of days ago when I went shopping!

On my eyes are the top 2 colours in the BYS palette in number 6 Smokey Purples pictured below. The photos were taken at the end of the day which means the blush I wore (Wet 'n' Wild Heather Silk) and the lipstick (Revlon Soft Nude) have pretty much disappeared but the eyes are the main thing I wanted to show you guys anyway! Pastel purple is such a pretty spring colour!

Hope this inspired some of you guys! Have a lovely day.

Review: Revlon Super Lustrous Lipglosses!

Hey guys! Today I'm going to review my favourite lipglosses, Revlon's Super Lustrous glosses!

Shine City, Coral Reef, Pink Afterglow, Firecracker, Pearl Plum, Nude Lustre

I got my first one (Pink Afterglow) from the Priceline Beauty Bag back in April of this year, and at this stage my lips were still quite allergic to lip products so I decided not to use it. However over the last few months my lips have gotten so much better and I can now wear most lip products without a reaction. This prompted me to pull out this lipgloss and try it. I loved it so much that it stayed in my handbag for a couple of months straight! It was so amazing I had to buy more, however I wasn't keen on the price tag. So when I was browsing Myer on my lunch break a few weeks ago I found an amazing box gift set of 5 of these lipglosses for 39.95! That's $109 worth of lipgloss for 40 bucks! Incredible!

Shine City, Coral Reef, Pink Afterglow, Firecracker, Pearl Plum, Nude Lustre

The formula of these lipglosses is incredible. It applies so smoothly and opaquely, with the only exceptions being Shine City (obviously because it's clear) and Firecracker which is quite sheer. All the other glosses apply a really good amount of colour on the lips that you could just put them on without a lipstick and still have gorgeous lips! They don't feel dry on my lips, and they stay a couple of hours before they kind of disappear. The packaging is also a stand out. They look very fancy with the black and gold top and clear tube so you can easily see which colour you are using.

Pink Afterglow, my first and my favourite!

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipglosses retail for $21.95 for 18ml of product and can be purchased from Priceline, Target, Big W, Myer and other such places and chemists! I highly recommend them, however I also highly recommend you wait for a sale at one of these places such as a buy one get one free sale! I also highly recommend buying the Myer 5 lipgloss set whilst it's still out! Thanks for reading!

Review: Wet 'n' Wild Colour Icon Blush in Heather Silk

Hey everyone!! This post is my first review, and it's going to be on my favourite blush of the moment - Heather Silk by Wet 'n' Wild! I got this blush several days ago on Friday, and have since worn it all 4 consecutive days.

Heather Silk is a gorgeous bright pink which is completely matte. I don't have very many matte blushes which is why I am obsessed with this at the moment. I really like that it's matte because I love wearing highlighter but dislike wearing it with a shimmery blush as I feel like it's too much. This blush looks pretty natural IF you apply it lightly. I barely tap my brush in the pan and then wipe it off on the back of my hand before applying it with my Sigma duo fibre brush. It is seriously so pigmented. It also stays all day. I wore this to work from 8:30-5:30 today and it stayed fairly vibrant 9 hours later.

The only downside to this blush is the stupid packaging! Half the container is a little spot for the horrid brush they put in with it. It makes the container twice as big than it needs to be which really isn't ideal. However this is the only downfall to the blush, the pros highly outweigh the negatives.

Heather Silk contains 4g of product and retails for $3 (not joking) off Nonparielboutique ( http://www.nonpareilboutique.com/) . 100% recommend it.

Nonparielboutique is an awesome online store! I love everything about it besides the fact that a LOT of their items are out of stock. This mainly applies to the ELF products, but also to other products that are very popular (NYX JEP in Milk for example). Anyway, hopefully you guys enjoyed this haul, and maybe it's given you some ideas on what to purchase if you make an order with this website! Thanks for looking!
